Kuri Village, the ultimate gateway to the holy Kalinchowk Bhagwati temple, is more than just a stop for the visitors. A small village located right below the hills of Kalinchowk welcomes visitors with warm hospitality. As you get there, you can see a number of hotels lined up to provide you with their traditional accommodation along with special cuisine. When you walk around the village, you could explore the housing there i.e. made of stone and wood—to resist the cold weather, play with the snow in the sloppy and slippery hills, the small stupas in every corner of the village and watch the sun go down as the day ends with the sun rays flowing right across the snow making the view magical. During the evening, as the darkness and the cold come along, you could have a bonfire, music and some Tonga, a popular local millet brew, to prevail you from the coldness.
