Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple is a hindu shrine located at eastern hilly region of Nepal Dolakha district. It lies at an altitude of 3842m from sea level and is a part of Gaurishankar Conservation Area. It is about 132 Kilometeres from kathmandu to charikot and 18 Kilometeres off road up to Kuri Village and an hour and half hike or five minutes  of cable car ride from kuri village to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. Goddess Bhagwati at Kalinchowk Temple is famous for the fulfillment of pilgrims prayer and desires. 

 

Destination for Tourism

Located at an altitude of 3842 meters from the sea-level, it offers a stunning view of Mt Gaurishankar, Jugal, Annapurna range and Mt Everest. Forest of multi color Rhododendron, birds and animals are the other highlights of this place. The region is located at Gaurishankar conservation area where two famous rivers of Nepal, Sunkoshi and Tamakoshi originates. 

This place is famous for trekking where trekkers can drive up to Charikot 1550 meters above sea-Level and stay overnight exploring their lifestyle, culture, custom and traditions. On the next early morning after having breakfast trekkers can trek to kuri bazaar which is 3200 meters above sea level and takes around five hours. During the trek from charikot to Kuri, trekkers will have stunning views of Himalayas, Monastery different birds, animals and beautiful smiling faces of different culture and castes living together with harmony. 

Once reach to Kuri Bazaar trekkers can take rest and stay for overnight on hotels.  The  next day early in the morning one and half hour trek or 5 mins cable car drive will lead to kalinchowk temple. On the clear night Kathmandu can be seen illuminating with lights from top of the hill.
